Aluma and Minomi: Goodbye

This took about 2 days see I'm not so lazy with art after all.... ovo

-Quick story that I just thought up, warning I'm under like a writers block or something-
"Stay here, and I promise they won't hurt you." she spoke to me as she gasped out in the storm, the lightning gave a flash, the rain beat down like a storm of bullets crashing down like a waterfall. You could almost drown in this storm, why was the rain so angry?... I stopped and sobbed at her comment, I pleaded, "Couldn't we just both stay here, it's not safe! I don't want you to go," the time seemed like it was speeding past; time wasn't waiting for anyone, I inhaled before speaking again, "I need you, you can't leave me! Y-you're like the mother I never had.... and I don't know what I'd do without you!" Aluma took a deep breath in and her eyes started to water and spoke to me sweetly, struggling to maintain her new found strength, "Hon, you mean the world to me... but I can't let them get in and the only way I can prevent that... is by going out there and stopping them myself. Hide in the cellar, they cant find you there...." she handed me the keys and a chain from a small orange box from under the floral covered bed. Then pointed to the corner where the cellar door was. A screech pierced though the silence,"Ten seconds and we will start busting doors in!" The burglar waited for a sign to start trashing this lovely house off on the countryside.  My pupils dilated, my eyes started pouring out, I didn't want to be alone again, "B-but you got to promise me you'll be safe as well out there okay, Aluma?" She gave a reassuring smile and replied "Minomi, I promise. You are strong, and you know you care of yourself. I believe in you." Aluma leaped out the window, then sprinted off to confront the glowering men disappearing into the hungry fog.
